B&B Colle Carro

For what we paid, this was more than adequate. The B&B is right in the center of Poggiorsini. Our room was fairly spacious, though the bathroom was on the small side.

The room was clean and quiet, and the place felt very relaxing. The owner was helpful at first, but when I asked about getting the air conditioning remote, she never replied. The morning before we left, I asked where to leave the keys and was told the remote was in the bedside drawer, even though we'd searched it several times and found nothing. There was no shower gel, and the shower hose was broken, so nearly all the water came out through the damaged pipe. The hand soap was heavily watered down. We also found only two toilet rolls, one almost used up and the other half empty. The woman I'd spoken to on the phone, who also appeared in the photos, had said there'd be a coffee maker in the room. It had somehow disappeared along with the whole cabinet. At €85 a night, breakfast wasn't included either. We won't come back or recommend the place.

This building dates back to 1799 and has been fully renovated while keeping the original layout of a typical Murgia home. It has two floors with barrel and half-barrel vaults made of tuff. Those thick walls make it cool in summer and warm in winter.

The town is incredibly quiet, with welcoming people, so this B&B is a great choice for a relaxing break. The owner is very friendly and helpful.
