We liked being a little outside Polignano a Mare’s old town, since the beach felt more relaxed and less crowded. There’s a direct path from the hotel to the beach, plus a pool and a court for tennis or soccer. The location, facilities, and food were all excellent. Breakfast croissants and cappuccino were delicious, and laundry was very convenient: it cost €10, and clothes dropped off in the morning were ready that evening. For a family traveling around Polignano a Mare by car, I think it’s an ideal place.

Breakfast became our favorite part of the day. We could roll out of bed and enjoy a relaxed, lovely meal before heading out. Slava, the innkeeper and waiter, was a gem and looked after both us and the property so well. Everything was spotless and comfortable, the beds were great, and the bathrooms had been nicely renovated. We felt secure with private parking and digital keys on our phones for the gates and doors. The common spaces, wide outdoor areas, tennis courts, and pool were all enjoyable, though the water was quite cold when we visited in mid-May. It was also very kid-friendly: our 20-month-old loved exploring, chatting with the staff, and finding the outdoor cats. Town is a beautiful, dreamy 15-minute walk along a boardwalk. Bikes are available, but we couldn’t use them with our young child, so we drove some days and walked others. This was the perfect recharge during our big trip through Greece and Italy. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

We loved the direct underpass to a quaint little beach and made good use of the pool, deck chairs, and outdoor seating. The property had everything we needed, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They even let us stay around for a few hours after checkout. When the heavy rain meant the tuktuks weren’t running, Gabriele kindly picked us up at the train station. Breakfast was fresh and lovely every morning, especially the fruit and barista espresso. The service was impeccable, and our room was comfortable and super clean. This accommodation was the highlight of our wonderful trip to polignano.

Mauro and his collaborators have put together a wonderful bed and breakfast. The little beach nearby is easy to reach, and Polignano and its attractions are within walking distance. There’s so much thought in the setup, from the space and amenities to the way everything is organised. Wholeheartedly recommend it.
