The terrace was great, and the little room was lovely.

A full 10/10.

The apartment is small and best for active, undemanding guests, but the two-level terrace makes up for the bedroom’s roughly 10-12 square meters, including the small bathroom. It has chairs, a table, and a sun lounger. Ours was clean, with a few mugs and a small fridge. We visited in early October, when it was warm, around 28 degrees Celsius by day and 20 at night. The terrace was comfortable in that weather. If you’re adventurous, you can take an evening walk across nearby rooftops from the second floor, with magnificent views. The management company communicates very well by instant messenger. They send a form before check-in that can be a little confusing but is manageable. Coffee capsules are available for about 20 cents each at Caulì Caffè Point on Via Sant'Antonio, around 300 meters away. Just tell them the machine name. The apartment is about 400 meters from the historic center and 600 meters from Lama Monachile beach. The train station is a relaxed 15-minute walk, under a kilometer, and the sea is about 100 meters away as the crow flies. You can’t swim from the terrace, but there’s a bar nearby with delicious seafood sandwiches costing 5 to 10 euros. Lama Monachile gets incredibly crowded in summer, so for swimming, Cala Paguro, about 400 meters past it, is a better option. It has comfortable sunbathing piers, though they can get busy too. Via Roma’s pubs are close by. Despite appearances, they aren’t expensive and cost less than places in the historic section or on the street itself. Margherita pizzas start at 5 euros, and for 10 euros you can get delicious burrata cheese, among other things. There’s also a well-stocked Italian discount store, MD, about 400 meters away, with a decent butcher shop. Its prices are lower than or comparable to Lidl. Alcohol is especially good value there. The street itself is full of locals who are quite friendly to tourists.

The apartment was spotless and in an excellent location close to the main street. Check-in was easy and keyless. It’s on the first floor, with no elevator. The little balcony has a sea view, and the bathroom is tiny but has enough space and has been renovated and well maintained. We stayed for three nights, and between the two of us there were only two coffee pods 🤭.
