It had a stale cold-cigarette smell, even though it was described as a non-smoking motel. The place felt dated throughout, right down to the receptionists using paper books to assign rooms. Our toilet had no seat. Staff were rude and looked unkempt, and they spoke no English. They hadn’t told us when breakfast was, then said it wasn’t their problem that we’d missed it.

The room stood out for its space, and the bathroom was modern. The rooms were comfortable, and service was good, especially from the courteous, kind waiters. The food was tasty, though I think you can find better. Still, the menu is broad and the quality is very high compared with other hotels of this kind.

The prices were reasonable, and the dishes tasted great. Staff were friendly and smiley, the coffee was good, and the ice cream was especially good. So far, one of my best restaurant experiences in Italy.
