We’d already had a wonderful stay at the complex in Desenzano, so we booked in Polpenazze too, and were absolutely not disappointed. Manuel deserves high praise for taking care of our requests straight away. The town is fantastic, with great restaurants (remember to reserve) and an outstanding ice cream shop. The view of Lake Garda while eating your ice cream is priceless. The complex was much smaller than the one in Desenzano, but still just right, and we usually had the pool to ourselves. The modern apartment was well equipped and spotless, which matters a lot to us. The mattress was excellent and not worn out at all. One small tip: bring your own sharp knives if you’ll need them, as the ones provided were only just usable. We had a very relaxing 11 days. Highly recommended!

The whole property and the rooms were impeccably clean, and the hosts were wonderfully friendly and quick to answer questions. It’s a lovely furnished vacation apartment with thoughtful details. The pool had just opened over Easter 2019. We’ll definitely return!

The rooms look nice and modern, but the furniture is very sparse. There’s not much crockery, and we missed things like egg cups and cake forks. The bed is very small, and the bedroom feels cramped. The shower won’t suit tall or elderly people; everything is only Italian-sized. The building is noisy, the courtyard gives you little privacy, and ZDF is the only German channel.

I’ll definitely return to the Villa Fontanelle apartment in Polpenazze del Garda. It’s comfortable, and I got a great welcome. I got lost while driving there, but the lady came to pick me up because it was already late. Nearby are the Immaculate Conception nuns of Shi LanKA, who do charity work for orphanages in COLOMBO. The community of Polpenazze del Garda makes a LARGE contribution to that work.
