Agriturismo San Carlo

We chose this beautiful place for our wedding and never regretted it for a moment. The hosts were incredibly kind, and the surroundings were charming. I'm already looking forward to coming back and making more lovely memories.

The grounds are a real highlight, with lovely views from the restaurant and pool, plus a swing and trampoline for the little ones. The pool was cleaned daily. We had a great family holiday at San Carlo with our two young children, and especially enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. Service and reception were great. Inside, the apartment facilities felt a bit dated, though the outdoor area was wonderful and well kept.

Simona and her family are really friendly, and the veranda table was a nice spot. The pool was clean, and there were no mosquitos. The room itself was clean too, but quite basic, and the bathroom door wouldn't shut. There's no air conditioning, so bring a fan, and no Wi-Fi in the room, only near the eating area. It might suit families more than couples. Breakfast was okay and typically Italian, though a few times the bread was very dry and the coffee had gone cold. We asked the owner in advance about dinner, which is served twice a week, but unfortunately we didn't get a table. All in all, it was alright.

A lovely house tucked into Tuscan nature, with kind service and generous breakfasts. A few things to check before booking: the restaurant wasn't operating during our stay, though we'd booked this agriturismo partly because it had one, so it's worth asking ahead. There were some insects in the room, and the Wi-Fi was weak there. The breakfast costs 15 EUR per person. It's plentiful and includes moka coffee among the other drinks, while espresso or cappuccino cost an extra 1 or 1.5 EUR. The outdoor pool was cold. The other agriturismo owned by the same people, Reucci, has warmer water.
