UNA Hotels Monterufoli Wine Country

The food was a real highlight. We ate there three times, and everything was good quality; they change the menu almost every day. Breakfast had plenty of choice, including fresh cakes and focaccia. It’s a classic Tuscan countryside stay, with olive oil and wine made on the large property, plus activities like table tennis, biking and tennis. The setting is a little isolated, which was exactly what we wanted. The flies were genuinely annoying, though the staff seemed to be doing all they could about them. I’d definitely recommend it.

We found the price fair, and the hotel is dog friendly, with lovely grounds in a quiet spot. Breakfast was very good, and the restaurant was solid. The appetizers are especially worth trying, and the wine was good too, though I’m no expert. The pasta with rabbit was far too salty, unfortunately, and we weren’t offered another dish, just dessert. One nuisance: there was no “Do not disturb” sign for the door, so a cleaner came in while we were trying to sleep during the day.

We had a really restful three-night stay, with a laid-back, quiet feel. There’s a pool and tennis court, bikes to rent, and walking routes nearby. The food was excellent and very fairly priced, and the wine was nice too. Would happily come back.

We first came here for a lovely holiday, and the place was so dreamy that we decided it would be where we’d get married. Two years later, in September 2019, we did just that. The whole wedding felt like a dream, and everything went beyond what we’d hoped for. Gabriele made things so easy and was incredibly helpful, going out of his way for us. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. Everyone was lovely and supportive, and the location is more beautiful than I can put into words. We already knew the food was amazing from our first visit, and our friends and family who joined us for the wedding weekend gave us so many compliments about the setting and arrangements.
