The staff were lovely, especially Francesca and the hotel cat, and the hotel felt fresh and very clean. In one room, though, the balcony door wouldn’t close properly. We mentioned it to staff, who said that was how it was meant to be. That seemed odd, since the balcony doors in the other rooms all locked without trouble.

Without a car, I wouldn’t choose this place. If you do have one, it’s very good value. Everything was clean and tidy, and the rooms are medium-sized.

The elevators were out, and at midnight no one was there to help guests with their luggage. Our tour guide had to carry bags for dozens of people, even though they weren’t hotel staff. That’s beyond unacceptable. There was no service, and the hotel’s attitude showed no respect for paying guests. Shameful and absolutely disgusting.

What a terrible experience. With the elevators broken, there was no staff around at midnight to help guests with their bags. Our tour guide ended up carrying luggage for 45 people, though that wasn’t his job. The service was unacceptable, and the staff showed no responsibility or basic human decency. It was disgusting and a complete waste of money. I’d never recommend anyone stay here.

The room could really have used a chair, but it was clean and pleasant. I especially liked sitting on the balcony on warm summer evenings.
