Green Park Hotel

The train station is nearby, so getting to Rome is easy. But the hotel feels generally outdated and rundown. Our room was clean, yet the toilet was really, really dirty, like it hadn’t been cleaned for many visits. They cleaned it after we complained. After an evening in Rome in 30-degree heat, we needed a shower, only to find the shower head broken too. We wondered how they’d cleaned the bathtub. It took four trips to reception to get a key for another room so we could shower, at after 1 a.m., exactly when you don’t want to deal with this. To be fair, the receptionists were trying their best to tackle the growing problems, but this place feels like a sinking ship. Breakfast won’t suit everyone either. It’s a sugar rush, and even the kids thought there was far too much sugar.
