B&B La Primula

The place was unbelievably clean, easily the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in. I’m hard to impress on that front, and apartment hotels are often not very clean, but this one was pristine. Even the four-star hotel I stayed at afterward wasn’t as clean. It was also safe and comfortable, with very friendly hosts. The nearest gate to the Pompeii archaeological area is a 10-minute walk, and the long-distance train station is just 3 minutes away.

The host is super friendly, but the setup has a bit of a hostel feel. The rooms are made from one apartment in a block, so you can hear the neighbors next door. The bathroom isn’t in the room either, you have to cross the corridor, which is really uncomfortable. If you’re okay with that kind of arrangement, it could be a good pick.

Marco was waiting when I arrived for the airport shuttle and took me back when I left. The shuttle was well worth it. He was also incredibly attentive when my laptop was damaged going through the x-ray, and quickly took charge of sorting it out. I had a university assignment due, so that mattered a lot to me. This small, friendly B&B was spotless, including the fully equipped kitchen, and my room had a double balcony. The hosts were perfect. Breakfast was lovely, and Pompeii site is only a 10-minute walk away. The town is attractive, and the locals are friendly. I had no complaints during the whole week apart from the computer problem.

Marco made us feel at home with his hospitality and great service. He was an excellent host, and I’d definitely come back. Thanks for all the attention.
