I paid for a room, but the owner turned me away, saying it wouldn’t be ready until the next night. That didn’t help me at all, and she won’t refund me even though she had nowhere for me to stay. I’m disputing the charge with my credit card company. She’s a real piece of work, if you know what I mean. After I left this review, she replied that she would give me a refund. Now she’s upset about the review and says there won’t be a refund after all. She also says in her response that she told me she only needed 30 minutes to prepare the room. What happened was, while I was driving around trying to find her property, she called and made it very clear that it wouldn’t be available at all until the next night. Apparently, after we hung up, she messaged me on Booking.com to say never mind, she only needed 30 minutes. I didn’t see those messages until much later because I was busy trying to find somewhere to sleep. That’s also a poor way to contact someone, especially after telling them to move on. Like I said, awful.
