It was our first time in Pompeii, and we had a good stay. The hotel was very clean and breakfast was terrific. Our room had bunk beds for the kids, which was a big plus since finding accommodation for four in Pompeii had been difficult. One surprise: the parking garage under the hotel has a very steep, narrow entrance. It worked out fine for us.

For a four-star hotel, I expected a little more. It felt a bit outdated, and breakfast wasn’t great. It wasn’t served in the hotel itself; we had to walk about 100m to a bar, where the only real choices were a croissant and a drink. In Rome, I paid half the price and got a much better breakfast and room. The hotel is nice, but I wouldn’t rate it four stars.

The service was nice, and the hotel was tidy, with everything looking fairly fresh. The rooms are small and have no air conditioning. The shower didn’t work well, and breakfast choices were poor despite the bakery.

The place has a lovely, one-of-a-kind feel, almost like being at your grandma’s house. Carmen was so helpful, too. A perfect little gem.

The staff really stood out for how admirable they were. It’s a very nice hotel, and I’d definitely recommend it.
