We really enjoyed relaxing on the terrace at sunset, looking out toward Vesuvius and the distant mountains. The tiles, furniture, and painting gave it a nice personal feel. Having a terrace and a small fridge in the room was a plus, as was the good air conditioning. Breakfast was fresh pastries on the terrace. The host was accommodating and helpful. He let us drop off our bags early and lent us an umbrella for shade at the ruins, which I really appreciated on such a hot day with very little shade. Free secure parking on site was also a big advantage, since it’s hard to find along the coast. The ruins were about a ten-minute drive away. The host suggested a convenient car park, since on-site parking is limited. Parking seemed to average 2€ an hour. We spent four hours there without a guide, using the app that came with our ticket. We decided to visit Pompeii at the last minute and should have booked tickets online. Instead, we waited about 45 minutes at the gate. This is a great economical place to stay if you’re visiting the ruins.

The B&B is an easy walk from both the train station and the city center, and makes a good base for seeing Pompeii and nearby towns. Pompeii itself felt peaceful and beautiful, and Raffaele’s place made the visit even more special. Raffaele was thoughtful and kind, checking that I was comfortable and sharing great local tips. The pizza spots he recommended were amazing. Each morning there were warm, fresh cornetti and bomboloni for breakfast. I absolutely loved my stay. Grazie di cuore, Raffaele, per tutto!

We stayed in the Capri Room, which has a magnificent view of Vesuvio Volcano. Raffaele was so helpful and made us feel at home. The location is about a 15-20 minute walk from the city centre. Breakfast was amazing too, with fresh pastries brought by the host to our room’s balcony. It made us feel like we were in the times of Pompeii. If we come back, we’ll definitely book here again.
