We specifically asked before booking whether we’d have the entire apartment and were told yes. Instead, we got one large room with two queen beds, no separation and no privacy, which wasn’t suitable for four adults. There’s a shared area for all guests with a very noisy coffee machine that people can use at any hour, day or night. The building was noisy, and the thin walls made it impossible to sleep. The Wi-Fi router is shared by everyone too, and the connection is very poor. I’d strongly recommend finding somewhere else if you need to work remotely.

We appreciated the cold water waiting for us and the tasty complimentary breakfast at the nearby pastry shop. The lady who welcomed us was friendly and helpful both times. Our room was elegant and nicely decorated, with comfortable beds and a good range of pillows so everyone could find one they liked. We’ll definitely come back next time.

The mattresses were VERY comfortable and soft, and there’s a sheltered terrace where you can relax or meet other guests. This is a modern B&B at a reasonable price, close to Pompeii’s centre, the excavations, and both the Circumvesuviana and State Railways stations. Free parking is included. It can be noisy because it’s near the centre and sits between two particularly busy roads, and it isn’t wheelchair accessible.

The young owners were a delight, and he’s an architect. They’ve renovated an inherited period property with care and good taste, making it a lovely place to stay. It’s centrally located, just steps from the sanctuary and one entrance to the excavations. They also gave us valuable tips for visiting Herculaneum and seeing the wonderful panoramic night view from the terrace.
