Ca'Milla B&B

Paulo and his family, including his mother-in-law Donatella, were so accommodating when we arrived late. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The building smells lovely from the potpourri as soon as you walk in, and every detail feels cared for. It looks just as good as the photos, maybe even better. Breakfast kept us full, with lots of homemade cakes and pastries. I used to wonder how a place could earn nothing but five-star reviews. Now I get it.

The breakfast was a treat, fresh and varied, with cake and pastries baked daily by Camilla's mom. Camilla, Paulo, and their family made us feel at home, and Paulo even waited outside to greet us himself. They also looked after our dog for the day. The place is beautifully decorated, very tidy, and has everything you need. I’d happily return if I’m in that part of the Dolomites again.

Camilla checked in with me each day to see how our hikes went and whether we needed anything. When we left before breakfast on two mornings, she packed us ham and cheese sandwiches, juice, fresh fruit, and delicious homemade cookies. After we stayed out late on our first evening, she texted and called to make sure we were safe. Those thoughtful touches are what I remember most from our couple of nights there in July 2023. The B&B is clean, beautiful, and well maintained, close to restaurants and a small grocery store. We drove to the Cortina d’ampezzo area each day to hike. We chose Camilla’s place because it cost much less than staying in Cortina, had great reviews, and looked nicer and newer than many places I saw online there. The accommodations were even better than I expected. We could sometimes hear guests talking loudly, which can happen in a home with rooms, but it was brief. Everyone was respectful and quiet at night. We had a wonderful stay and would choose her B&B again if we returned to the area.

Paolo and Camilla really know how to make you feel at home. The rooms are lovely and carefully looked after, and breakfast was superb. We had such a relaxing, memorable holiday. Thanks for the warm hospitality.
