Residence Pompei Be Green

For €124 a night, including €4 tourist tax, this was poor value. We asked to move to a more comfortable room for our two day stay and were turned down. Our first floor room faced the parking lot, and parking itself is limited. The beds were old and uncomfortable, the pillows flat, and the towels worn down to their last threads. Breakfast was embarrassing: bread, cold pizza, and something that looked like sliced hotdogs. The Be Green Hotel, like Pompeii, feels past its prime. It tries to be clean, but its age gets in the way. Avoid.

We planned to spend just one night in Pompei with my dad and little sister, but liked it so much that we stayed for two. The place was clean, affordable, and very accommodating, and the staff were so friendly. Breakfast was great too. The location was convenient, and I’d definitely recommend staying here. I’d come back, and wish we could find places like this for the rest of our trip.

Everything else about the hotel made for a great stay. The room was spacious and clean, with plenty of towels and shower gel, and the staff were all lovely and friendly. The hair dryer kept cutting out after about 15 seconds. To keep it running on level 1, we had to turn off the bathroom AC and light.

They were happy to store our luggage before check-in and after check-out, so we could explore comfortably. The reception and breakfast teams gave us great service and went above and beyond to help us enjoy the trip. The hotel was clean, welcoming, and friendly, with fresh towels and changed beds every day. It’s around the corner from food, shops, and the ruins. We booked a short bus trip to Vesuvius in town. I’d definitely stay here again and can’t wait to return.
