A quick little museum visit covering the bridge's history and myths through videos and illustrations. On very hot days, it’s a great place to cool off for a few minutes.

This is a small museum, but it's free and gives a thorough account of the bridge's history and construction methods. It's on the river's left bank, next to the new bridge. The displays explain how building skills were lost after the Roman Empire collapsed. In the so-called dark ages, people couldn't reproduce some of the works, so legends arose about mysteries and devils. Many bridges, for example, were said to have been built by a devil tricked by a saint or friar who promised a soul in return. Those stories aside, the museum also shows a technique refined over time and the courage of people working together to take on feats that seemed almost impossible.
