The restaurant was the real standout for us. I’ve never had better food in Italy, and the waitress and both chefs were so kind and attentive. There was a great choice of wine, and we could buy bottles and their excellent olive oil to take home. The hotel team were welcoming too, and our spacious room had lovely views. The pool was clean and inviting. We did miss having air conditioning, though it wasn’t a big problem, and there weren’t many pillows. My girlfriend and I especially liked how quiet it was, with no children around, so it was easy to properly unwind. We had a wonderful stay.

Such a peaceful, refreshing place, and the hosts made us feel very welcome. The food is some of the best we’ve had in Italy. We’ll be back, and I can’t recommend it enough!

We’d planned to use this as a base for visiting Fiorentina, but I ended up staying put, reading and resting. The rooms are enchanting, the nature is beautiful, and the atmosphere is so calm. One of the most wonderful places I’ve ever visited.

We came here for a quiet break in the middle of a busy trip and really enjoyed it. The countryside is peaceful, yet Florence is still convenient to reach. Colognole has a lovely restaurant and kind, helpful people. Our old, interesting building was well maintained, and the wine and olive oil are superb. Grazie mille!
