La Sorgente di Francesca - B&B

There was something for everyone in our extended family at the villa. We loved the pool, often taking a dip before and after day trips into Florence. One person wandered among the fruit trees and took photos of the mountains, while our design lover spent time admiring the bedroom styles and antique furniture. We also watched instructional videos of Chiara, an amazing chef Linda recommended, cooking in the kitchen. The house and grounds are far grander and more spacious than the photos show. We loved every minute there and hope we can return soon.

The landscape around our wedding was beautiful, and our guests kept talking about it. Everyone had a spacious room with a private bathroom and modern amenities. The forests, vineyards, olive trees, mountain views, and inviting pool made the setting feel like a peaceful retreat. La Sorgente Di Francesca, a historic property with roots going back a thousand years, was the perfect place for our dream wedding. From the moment we arrived in the rolling hills of Florence, it felt special. Our stay became much more than a celebration, thanks to the timeless Tuscan charm and the help of Nico and Lynda, who made everything memorable. I’d highly recommend it for a wedding, reunion, or getaway.

The villa worked really well for a weekend with around 40 friends celebrating our marriage in September. There was room for 30 to stay overnight, and most bedrooms were spacious and had their own bathrooms. We had dinner in the yard on Friday, then a party inside. On Saturday we spent the day by the pool and held a pool party that evening. If you need a bartender, ask host Nico for Guido. He was awesome. The hosts are nice, and the villa has what you need for a great weekend with friends. The catering was the low point. La Brucia Padelle was recommended by the hosts, and the initial planning and menu discussions went well. After we paid the first instalment, their emails became very unfriendly. I told them two weeks before that fewer people would attend than planned. I didn't expect or receive a lower price, which I could understand since I told them late. Five days before the event, they said the main course had to change from Fiorentina to pork, and the grilled vegetables to potatoes, because the forecast meant they couldn't barbecue and dinner would have to be indoors. My friends eventually persuaded them to serve dinner outside, but we still didn't get the agreed main dish. The weather was great all weekend. For food, I'd ask about other options.

We just love this huge place, with hundreds of olive trees all around. There are about 10 Appartements and lots of parking. The piazza is stunning, and there's a big swimming pool, a huge bbq grill, and a stone pizza oven. Fully recommended.
