We’ve spent our second holiday here and will probably come back again. It’s a great hotel for skiers, close to the slopes with a magnificent glacier view. The service was very good, and there were nice activities for kids. The food was OK, apart from the scrambled eggs.

The thin walls were the main downside for me. You can hear people in the next room and out in the corridor. Still, it’s good value for a ski holiday, with comfortable, spacious rooms. I slept fine in the beds, though the shower is visible from the bedroom. The middle of the glass is frosted, but sharing a twin room with a mate might feel a little weird. Beds and towels were changed daily. Dinner brought something different each night and the food was good. Breakfast was the same every day, but fine, with good coffee or espresso. Drinks aren’t included, not even water. The water on the dinner table costs extra. A small soft drink is €3.50 and a 330ml bottle of Peroni is €4. Bring a travel kettle if you want tea or coffee. There’s a mini fridge for milk. The locker room is spacious and warmer than outside, though I wouldn’t call it heated. There’s room to get ready, and the locker key needs a €5 deposit. You can’t really ski in or out, but it’s a very short walk from the black run, and a short walk across the road to the chairlift base. Town is a few minutes up the road, and Spar mini supermarket is about a 7 to 9 minute walk. Wi-Fi was fine on the 3rd floor, with no issues. I’d come back.

The view is nice and the location is good, though it’s a 550m walk to the cabin station. Fitness is free, but the food quality, not the taste, was nothing special, and drinks aren’t included. This place doesn’t seem set up for skiers. Getting to the ski room was hard, and you have to walk through the dining room in ski clothes to reach it. There’s no ski service or even basic tools for adjusting or repairing skis. Wi-Fi didn’t work 98% of the time. Staff seemed disorganized with many things, including the dining room schedule, and there were communication problems in English. I don’t want to be harsh, but compared with hotels in Austria, this one isn’t good.

The setting is beautiful and the location is very good. It’s virtually 100m to get onto the slope on either side. The rooms are clean, reasonable, and fit for purpose, though a little small for four people. It’s not a fancy four-star place, but it works well if you want to enjoy the ski resort. Breakfast and dinner were OKish. They should focus on quality over quantity and it would be very good. We enjoyed our stay, but had mixed feelings about the staff. The lady in the American bar was great, as was the lady at the bar by reception. The breakfast and dinner serving staff were generally very good. But they rushed to charge too much for water at dinner, and there’s no other option than drinking the water on the table and being charged for it. Reception was close to a disaster. Don’t expect more than them taking your passport details. Luckily, it’s pretty clear how to get around. Wi-Fi doesn’t work: you can connect, but that’s it. 5G is very poor in the hotel too. They all know, but don’t do anything about it. The facilities are OKish in general, but some things don’t work and aren’t fixed. Maybe next year, but you’d have to tell me, because we’re not coming back.

The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. The bar staff were fab, and the entertainment team worked hard and were very friendly. Our room was clean and lovely, with a stunning view over the glacier. It would have been nice if the heating had been on when we arrived, though it comes on during the night and I’m not sure why. The hotel is really big, with two bars. The American one downstairs opens at four and stays open till late, with entertainment. There’s also a play area for children. We brought our own travel kettle, tea and coffee, since there isn’t any in the rooms. To charge our phones, we had to unplug the lamps. We had a shower, though I would have loved a bath. There was a choice of cooked food in the restaurant, but it wasn’t the best. The continental selection was plentiful. Dinner was disappointing, though the salad selection was fab and the desserts were lovely. The desserts are stunning, and the cooked food wasn’t brilliant. We weren’t sure whether to drink the water on the tables, then got money back at the end, so I’m not sure why. We only had chips once, and I thought there wasn’t much choice for children, since not all kids like pasta. When you arrive, the bus drops you on the road because it can’t get to the hotel. You have to cross a snowy field, so wear boots or snow boots. Crystal ski says it’s a three minute walk to the slopes, but for lessons it’s over ten minutes back up the road to find the ski school. By our third day we managed to get a locker in the ski shop by the magic carpets. The skidoo was fab, we did that. We’ll definitely come back. Christmas Eve was great for the kids, with Santa and fireworks.
