Residence Adamello Resort

Dinner was excellent, but breakfast was very limited: one kind of salami, ham and cheese, with only a few eggs that smelled off. There was also sweet cake, plus a coffee and juice machine. I missed having fresh fruit and vegetables. The BiLO5 rooms felt too cramped for five people, with one small bedroom, a tiny kitchen, a narrow bed, and a very small sofa meant for two. The apartment entrance is off an open corridor.

The positives were the view, a clean and tidy room on arrival, the spa, and easy access to the ski station and town center. But traveling with a baby or toddler here was a terrible experience for us. We booked a room for two on booking.com and asked for a cot. Staff said we'd have to upgrade to a room for four, which made no sense to me since the baby still needed a cot, not an unsafe sofa bed in a cold room apart from our bedroom. I accepted because we'd had an amazing stay in January 2022. When we arrived an hour before the 4 pm check-in, we couldn't go to the room, so I took the baby to the kids' play area. It looked more like a storage room, and a man was sleeping inside the soft play. He didn't seem to care that we were there. Staff kept walking through, even though the door said no shoes, and there was also an outside door. It felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. We ordered pizza from the hotel restaurant, and it was the worst pizza in Italy. The cot never arrived, so the baby had to sleep with us for safety. We asked for spa towels to take to the apartment and use by the pool. A woman came from reception and rudely told us that wasn't allowed, and she was rude to the spa staff too. I understand there are rules, but we didn't know this one, and guests don't need to be spoken to rudely to be told. Breakfast, which had been the best part of our 2022 stay, was a complete mess this time. It ends at 10 am, but when we arrived from 8:30 am the buffet still wasn't complete. Food was missing, even basic dishes and cutlery were unavailable, and the food had no labels, so there was no way to tell whether it contained allergens. The understaffed team looked overwhelmed while trying to sort everything out. Checkout and housekeeping were another letdown. There was no room service at all, and at 10 am checkout we found that this expensive four-star hotel had no cleaning service. We had to take our rubbish a long way from the hotel to dispose of it ourselves.

We had a good stay, and parking was fine. The resort is very close, which was perfect. The restaurant has an impressive view; the food was okay, though the choices were limited. The rooms were fine too.

Breakfast was badly understaffed, with one guy trying to handle everything. Food, cutlery, and dishes ran short, and there were no labels to identify the food. We asked for a cot for our baby weeks before booking, but it was never provided. The pool was cold and the room freezing. The receptionist and manager were rude. For the price, the hotel offers too little, and guests have to tidy the room and take their rubbish outside the hotel area. Where is the cleaning service? This was the worst experience I've had. This was my second stay, and it will be my last. Never again.
