We came as a group, and the woman at reception was really rude, rolling her eyes at everyone and yelling at some of us about using the stairs. The food was...interesting. The air conditioning was broken, and opening the windows let bugs in. At least the bathroom was nice, and the two young waitresses were very sweet and helpful. The rude woman also ended up baking a birthday cake for us, so I guess that earns her half a star back. Still, this wasn't the best hotel we stayed at on our trip.

The place is comfortable and attractive, and the rooms are clean and comfortable too. The food is good and served quickly. There are towels in the bathroom, and the shower water is warm. The waitress is bella.

The staff at Al Gabbiano made our group feel at ease and treated the students like royalty after a long day of travel. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the meals were delicious. Even the picky students finished their dinner and breakfast. I'm a high school teacher from New Jersey and had been taking students to Europe for seven years, so I know what a responsibility it is to bring someone else's children abroad. Their kindness and down to earth way of relating to the whole group meant a lot. After we'd already left, one student realized he'd left his wallet under his pillow. Eva contacted us, took the wallet to the post office herself, and mailed it home. It arrived a week later with everything intact. That was far beyond what she had to do. I'm very grateful to her and all the staff for making the kids' stay enjoyable and giving me peace of mind.

A nice, cosy place to relax, with a bar and restaurant. They handle tour groups like the one I was part of really well, and I'd stay here again.
