Hotel Borgo Brianteo

We were here for two weeks for a motorcycle event nearby. The rooms are bigger than most around here, the staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great. There’s no pool, but the air conditioning works well.

The DC superheroes made the room design a lot of fun, and there are plenty of nice amenities at the hotel. So far, it’s been the best hotel of our trip through Italy.

The rooms are a decent size, and they were nice and clean, which matters a lot for a family. Staff were friendly, there’s free parking, and you can sit outside; the bar is open 24 hours. The location is only okay. There’s a small market across the street, but it closes very early, and there are no bars or other places within walking distance. The elevator is really small. Breakfast needs a lot of work: the choices were poor and the same every day, and the eggs didn’t seem fresh. They gave me a stomach ache.

The 24-hour reception is a big convenience, and the hotel is about a 30-minute drive from Bergamo airport. It’s also dog friendly, for a fee. I expected a dog bed and bowl, though; instead, there was an extra protective cover on the couch. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, with hard floors rather than carpet, and they work well for families. There’s a living area with a couch, TV, and table with chairs, plus a kitchen that can be fully opened for an extra charge. If you ask reception, some rooms can be connected by opening a door between them, which gives an apartment-like feel. The breakfast restaurant has plenty of areas for kids too.
