Hotel Olimpico

We ended up eating at the restaurant every day, even though we hadn't booked half board. The food and service were so good, and the price felt right for the quality. The staff were warm and attentive from the moment we arrived. The hotel sits outside Salerno, but that wasn't a problem: shuttles ran often to the center, port, and main station, which made day trips easy. The beach is right outside and was clean, though with many nearby places shut in late September it felt a little deserted. The garden and pool were kept beautifully. We'd be glad to return to Hotel Olimpic.

We came with friends and our two infant babies in November 2025, during the off season, and had a lovely stay. The staff answered all our questions quickly and helpfully on WhatsApp. Even though the shuttle wasn't normally running because it was low season, they arranged rides to and from the train station and ferry dock on several days.

During our busy sightseeing days, the four of us ate dinner at the hotel restaurant both nights. The food was well prepared, the choices were excellent, and the service felt as good as fine dining. The pool was beautiful and the accommodation was great. The front desk staff were friendly and knew how to help guests who don't speak Italian, and we got a useful welcome package at check-in. Everything feels modern, sleek, clean, and comfortable. It's a bit of a drive into town, though free shuttle rides are available.

We picked Olimpico almost at random, knowing very little, and it turned out to be a wonderful first stay in Italy for my husband and me. The property is beautiful, but Daniele at the pool bar really stood out. From day one, he was the friendliest and most hospitable person we met in Italy. He's a real asset to the hotel, and we're so grateful for everything he did. I hope our feedback reaches him and that his service is recognized. From Michael & Christine from NYC!
