The rooms had an elegant feel, and the apartment was beautiful. Our host was so nice, and even gave us a bottle of their wine. I was told it was one I had to try while in Italy, and I really enjoyed it.

We were traveling with our three kids and, with not much to do in that part of Italy, started searching Airbnb listings. One room was listed at €127, so I sent a message through the site to check whether it was available at that hour. I was told to Google the number and call. On the phone, the man offered it for €200, saying the listing hadn't been updated and we wouldn't find anything better. We ended up finding a room for less, €160, at a big four-star hotel, breakfast included. Goodbye, Mr. Scammer. Watch out, the person I spoke with last night is a scammer. Avoid him at all costs.

A quiet, clean, safe place.

I expect people to be as straightforward with me as I am with them. A booking shouldn't be confirmed by setting up a phone or online appointment and then failing to show up. That lack of courtesy toward potential guests is why I wouldn't recommend it.
