Polisena L'Altro Agriturismo

We've been back quite a few times for the restaurant, though we've never stayed at the hotel. We're not vegan or vegetarian, but we still love the good vegan and vegetarian dishes and will surely return. It's a beautiful place, with a lovely view and ambience, and kind owners and staff.

We can't wait to come back to Polisena. We had a wonderful two-day stay as a couple, with beautiful, comfortable rooms all ready for us when we arrived. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, and the cuisine was exquisite, entirely vegetarian and vegan.

Farmers designed this peaceful place, surrounded by nature and just a blink of an eye from Bergamo town.

The design of our suite was excellent, and the architecture and views are stunning. But three things made the stay feel like a waste of money. The restaurant was a letdown. Breakfast was really nice, but dinner was a bit of a joke: unbelievably basic spaghetti with tomato sauce and a sprig of basil, plus another dish that seemed like a random assortment of ingredients thrown together. The service also felt cold and impersonal, even though the staff were obliging and professional. And the “aromatic” steam room in the suite we booked stank of sweat. We followed the strict showering and other instructions before using it, but it smelled absolutely disgusting throughout our stay. Even with the door shut, it was the first thing I smelled each morning. That was a major oversight by the staff.
