Our room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was tasty, especially the yogurt and peaches. There could be more choices, though, and the room was beside the breakfast area, so mornings got noisy. You can enjoy the view while eating. The hotel sits high on the cliffs above Amalfi, which gives it a quiet setting away from the crowds and lovely views. Getting there with our roughly 35 kg bags meant more than 1200 steps from the harbor, nearly an hour of climbing and sweating. We found the challenge part of the experience, though it was a lot. Checkout at 10:30 is earlier than at many hotels. We liked our stay and would come back. The internet still needs work: Wi-Fi was very slow or barely usable, and cellular reception was weak to nonexistent.

The room was bright, fresh, very clean, and had a great view, plus a really good kitchen area. Breakfast was a continental buffet with delicious pastries and coffee, and cooked eggs were available too. Getting back from Amalfi town in the late afternoon was difficult. Buses were scarce and people didn't seem to know how to queue. The taxi price felt outrageous, though some of that comes from the fees drivers pay to enter town. The town Council should do more for tourists and people working in tourism. Otherwise, I couldn't fault the hotel.

Ida and Gina really are the heart of this place. I wasn't staying here, but got into a tough situation nearby when I couldn't reach my host. They stepped in and treated my problem like it was theirs, with real kindness and care, going well beyond what I'd have expected. Seeing how they helped someone who wasn't even a guest made me think their guests must be in great hands. I actually envied the people staying here. The hotel looked spotless and beautifully kept, and the view over the Amalfi coastline was breathtaking. It's a little outside the center, but that higher vantage point makes it even more stunning. I only got a brief look around and took the photo below, so I can only imagine how the view is from the guest rooms. I regretted not staying here myself, and I'd highly recommend it if you're looking near Amalfi. Ida, Gina, your kindness turned a stressful moment into one of the highlights of my trip. I couldn't repay you then, but I'll pass that generosity along by helping others. Thank you so much. If you're thinking of booking here, don't hesitate for a second!

The beds were comfortable, the rooms had air conditioning, and the bathroom was immaculate with a shower that was easy to use. Ida was warm, attentive, and full of useful information, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The hotel itself is beautiful. We walked down the many steps from Postone to Amalfi. It was very tough, but also a rewarding hike into town. Ida also told us about the ferry to Positano, which we took. It cost €10 one way per person. The evening departures weren't very frequent, but the ride was a lovely way to see the Amalfi coastline. Getting back up was harder. A taxi was €60 for a twenty minute drive, which we didn't want to pay. The bus is a good option, but plan ahead because they seemed to come only every 3 hours. We walked back up the steps instead, taking several breaks. It took 35 minutes, which wasn't too bad. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend the place. Hopefully we'll return.

Gina, who handles breakfast, was wonderful, kind, and full of tips. The manager was caring too, and the rooms and pool were nice. The location is pleasant, but the hotel is high up: walking down to Amalfi takes 20 minutes, and you can take a bus back up or drive, though parking is expensive. My three stars are mainly because of the front desk and whoever answered WhatsApp. When we arrived, nobody warned us how hard parking in the center could be. I said I planned to drive there and park, but wasn't told how busy it gets or that without a space we'd have to park 10-20 minutes down the road. If I'd known, I would have rented a space at the hotel. The Wi-Fi wasn't working, and when I texted about it I got no answer. I also asked about mosquito repellent and was told, “no worrries, mosquitos dont bite.” One night we went to bed late, at 2am. Around 5am, a big emergency light above the bed switched on and shone right in our faces. There was nobody at Reception, and the emergency number I called wasn't available. I had to tape over the light with tape and magazine pages so we could sleep.
