The pool was lovely, and the bathroom was very nice. The room itself was basic, with an okay bed and no soundproofing. We found breakfast better elsewhere. Getting there takes you up a string of hairpin bends on a partly paved, narrow single-lane road, so the drive may not suit every driver or vehicle. Pontremoli is about 10 minutes away.

The welcome was the worst part of our stay. The woman at reception was curt and rude, seemed annoyed by requests, and made us feel like unwanted visitors instead of paying guests. The dinner bill was another disappointment: because of the weather and remote location, we ate at the property, then were charged €35 per person per dinner without a cost breakdown or receipt. The price felt high for the food and service. The room was small and had no window or mechanical ventilation. Its only opening was the front door, which we couldn't leave open for airflow because the room was on the ground floor and exposed to view. The temperature rose overnight even though it wasn't especially hot, condensation covered the window by morning, and the latch for keeping the window open during the day was broken. Breakfast was poor too: hard-boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt and a couple of cakes that ran out if you weren't up early, with no replenishment. The pool had no towels or slippers provided, and nowhere shaded to sit. The setting itself is enchanting, with a lovely valley view and nature all around. We had a pleasant time outdoors with our dog, who enjoyed the nearby walks. The access road runs through the woods and is narrow and unpaved, so it may be tricky on a first drive at night or in rain, though you get used to it after a few trips. We were there for a family weekend about a week ago. Despite the scenery, the stay was unsatisfactory, and I wouldn't come back.

The view is really lovely, and the facility has potential, but it wasn't managed well. We were there on Ferragosto (August 15th), hoping for some cool air and a good meal. There were no pool umbrellas, so we spent the day in full sun and had to stay in the water to cope with the heat. There were only around ten loungers for about 30 guests. Lunch was just a small appetizer: a few cold cuts, three pieces of cheese, two pieces of vegetable tart and pickled mushrooms. It might have been fine as a starter, but it was the only course. Dessert was nothing special either. The whole thing cost €35, and service was extremely slow. They should offer shade, enough loungers, and at least a first course with the appetizer.

A quiet place tucked into the greenery, with a beautiful view and a real sense of calm. The rooms were clean, well kept and had what we needed. There's a pool with loungers, plus a patio with a shaded spot to relax. The approach is by a quiet side road through the woods, partly paved and partly dirt, so take it slowly. We loved the food, especially the homemade pappardelle, tagliata and trout fillet. The ingredients really stood out. The hosts were warm and kind, and made us feel at home. I'd recommend it if you're after somewhere peaceful to unplug and get away from the chaos.
