Top-notch.

Leonardo was such a kind owner and always easy to reach. He even arranged a lovely boat trip for us on the Fauno with Franco and Sarò, who were both very nice and experienced sailors. We had a wonderful time and would happily stay again. The property is in a particularly quiet part of the island, but there’s plenty nearby, including great restaurants, a supermarket, a tobacconist, and a few coves just minutes away. There’s also a bus stop right outside, with very punctual buses taking about twenty minutes to reach the port of Ponza.

We spent relaxing evenings on the big terrace and garden, with its barbecue and two covered patio areas. The neighborhood is very peaceful, away from the busy port, and some coves are close enough that you don’t have to head down there every day. The small apartments are basic, clean, and have what you need. Around the area there are excellent restaurants and two good minimarkets, especially Aprea minimarket. The bus terminal directly across from the property makes getting around easy. It’s the quieter end of the island, farther from the port and, to me, more authentic. Mr. Leonardo was incredibly helpful. He collected us at the port when we arrived, carried our luggage on departure night, and was always available for questions. The one issue is thin sound insulation between the apartments, so quiet neighbors are a matter of luck. I realize most places on the island may have the same problem. For the price, I thought it was excellent, and I’m sure I’ll be back.

It’s a good spot if you want to be away from the port, with some of Ponza’s more unusual, hard-to-reach coves nearby. There are restaurants and bars around, plus two supermarkets across the road. The rooms have air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and plenty of space outside. Just bear in mind there’s a charge for sheets and towels, which can sting if you’re only staying a few days.
