The setting has stunning views and the facilities are nicely renovated, but the location is let down by the approach. Depending on which parking area you arrive at, you may have to pass half-burned, horribly smelly rubbish containers. They mostly serve traditional food, along with a custom all-you-can-eat buffet of starters. That could have been fine, but at least on the Thursday we visited, the food was several days old, already sour and clearly inedible. I'm vegetarian and had just one main course choice, not vegan and nothing special, with no second course available at all. In 2021, that didn't seem very common, even in the countryside.

We had lunch here midweek, and the homemade tagliatelle was fantastic, really fresh and served with courgette and salad. The next course was meat with potatoes and vegetables. The restaurant sits in the countryside, with pleasant views over farmland. There's indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of parking in the shade of trees, plus outdoor gardens and water features.
