Hotel Cesa Tyrol

The service at Hotel Cesa Tyrol was the best I’ve had in more than 10 years of visiting the Alps. Everything felt punctual and professional, while still genuinely friendly. It’s a stunning hotel close to the center of Canazei, and if I return, I wouldn’t consider staying elsewhere. Pierangelo deserves a special mention for the ski shuttle to Pecol lift station, which ran 8:30-10:00 and 15:00-17:00. He was kind and right on time, and the quick rides made our ski days much easier. Our room was modern, spotless all week and around 40-45 m², with everything we needed, including a fridge and proper wine glasses. The beds were excellent, the duvet warm and cozy. The pillows weren’t quite to my taste, but the room was still very comfortable. There’s a lot to do indoors: a secure ski room, Finnish, Turkish and Bio-saunas, a lounge, small heated pool, two-lane bowling alley and a kids' game room with virtual games, darts and table football. The large heated outdoor pool on the second floor, with its bar and lounge area, was my favorite place to relax after skiing. There’s also a small gym upstairs with treadmills and basic equipment. Breakfast was abundant, with fresh ingredients. You could order omelets, bacon or a proper cappuccino from the servers, and the fresh-pressed juice machine was a big plus. Dinner began with an antipasti buffet of cheeses, cold cuts and focaccia. For the first and second courses, there were three daily choices to select during breakfast. The dessert of the day was always great, and they also had Apple Strudel, Crema Catalana and Tiramisu. Food quality stayed high, the wine list was reasonably priced, and the waitstaff were professional and funny. Downstairs, a cozy bar has a separate TV room for watching football or skiing over a drink. Cesa Tyrol is run at a very high level. Highly recommended!

We first came two years ago, and the place made such a good impression that we’ve wanted to return ever since. This time, little touches like fresh flowers in the room and a handwritten note made us feel genuinely welcome. We skipped the spa and used the sauna built into our suite instead. It’s a game changer. Breakfast stands out. We’ve spent 16 days on this trip through Germany, Austria and Italy, and we think this hotel’s breakfast beats the competition. The rooms are spacious and modern, with good Wi-Fi and everything you need. From our balcony we could see the town, and in the morning we heard church bells in the distance. It felt like a classic Italian Dolomite experience. For driving, the location is nearly perfect, right among some incredible mountain passes. There are plenty of parking spots, and the area felt safe, which mattered to me with a higher-value vehicle. Two years later, the standards that impressed us then are still being met. I’m planning a summer 2026 event and will include Hotel Cesa Tyrol in the itinerary.

We arrived close to midnight, but had let them know ahead of time and asked if they could leave us something to eat. They did, which was really thoughtful. Dinner was simply perfect, and we enjoyed it so much. Breakfast was very good too. We were really happy with the facilities, food and service. The rooms could have been a little warmer, and the hotel especially felt chilly, since there’s no warm connection between the rooms and the spa area. Still, for a 4* hotel, it was really, really great. We’d like to come back.

We had a relaxing, enjoyable week skiing and loved the Rosengarden Suite. It was exceptionally comfortable, and I enjoyed seeing the sunrise over the mountains each morning. The ski shuttle was convenient and ran often, and the new Zen Spa is a beautiful place to unwind after a day on the slopes. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast, and dinner was always tasty and filling. Every staff member was friendly and helpful, especially our server Federico. The owners Michele and Mary were always on site to make sure guests had a good experience.
