Sunwaychalets Lago di Lugano

The chalets are very beautiful, and the view across the lake made me feel as though I was in Kattekat. The village is a shame, though, with many abandoned buildings that look unsafe and run-down.

The only bright spot for us was the pizza restaurant near the entrance. It isn’t part of the campsite, but the food was very good and affordable. The campsite itself was dirty and badly in need of upgrades. There was trash and clutter around the closely packed cabins, the pool smelled bad, and several slides felt unstable. The bathroom had a rotten smell, and showering brought water up through the floor around the toilet. There was no option to rent bed linen or towels. The power was also out for several hours, so staying in the cabins without air conditioning was impossible.

We had a lovely, peaceful stay in a chalet right by the lake. Use of the swimming pool was included, though you had to pay for sun loungers. The bread and rolls from the shop were inedible.

The price is reasonable, and it works well for us. There are still a few things that could be improved.
