Hotel Borbonico Di Pietrarsa

The reception staff, especially the women working there, were the one bright spot. Otherwise, it felt like nobody cared about running the place properly, and I wouldn’t say it was worth any price. It was extremely noisy. Staff didn’t deal with people making noise late at night, and then made loud hallway noise themselves very early in the morning. There were no “do not disturb” signs. Our room had no wardrobe, no working hairdryer and no soap, just single-use shower gel and shampoo packets. The shower had a makeshift stand. Breakfast was bad, and dinner was even worse for €20.

We loved the sea-view room, the hotel itself was lovely, the staff were helpful, and breakfast had nice sweet options. But paying guests still had to pay €7 per person per day to use the pool, plus another €2 each for the compulsory swimming cap. As a family of four on a budget, we had to watch the cool water from the side. That really spoiled our stay. It didn’t feel fair at all.

The hotel was clean and decent, but the Wi-Fi kept cutting in and out, which was annoying. I wasn’t keen on breakfast either. There were too many bland sweet pastries, the coffee was bad, and I couldn’t find any healthy choices. I didn’t use the pools.

The place looked nice in the photos, but the reality felt completely different. We were uncomfortable and felt judged for everything we did. It was way too expensive, and we’d rather have stayed in a cheap motel.
