Casa Colonica Le Pitte

The property is kept beautifully, and the apartment was spacious, lovely, and had a terrace. It was a dream come true.

The wide balcony, with its covered table, was a real highlight. We had lovely, relaxing dinners with friends there. Casale Le Pitte is in a beautiful, very quiet spot with spectacular sea views, and we spent five pleasant days at the farmhouse on Elba. The house has charm and the essentials, though it isn’t especially luxurious; some rooms have air conditioning. The bumpy dirt road up to it is difficult to drive, but the view makes the trip worthwhile. Cleanliness was standard, with nothing particular to report. The staff were generally unhelpful and almost nowhere to be found. We asked several times for a fan for the room without air conditioning, but it never came, which took away from the stay. It’s a decent choice for quiet accommodation with basic services, but the host falls short.

A quiet, clean, affordable place, and a good base for seeing the island by motorbike or bike. Essential services are nearby, as is Porto azzurro. There’s 200 metres of unpaved road to reach it, which isn’t suitable for low-clearance cars.

A lovely, clean apartment in a very nice complex, with a small terrace and a fantastic view. It’s well placed for day trips, shopping, and other activities, and the ferry is just a short distance away. Portoazzuro and Capoliveri are great for an evening stroll and dinner. This is definitely the prettier side of Elba.
