The best part was having a beautiful, crystal-clear public beach just a minute away, while staying on a street away from the heavy tourist traffic that fills the Punta Prosciutto area from 8 a.m. The house was a pleasant find and let me relax. When the beach felt crowded, we could retreat to the large private outdoor area, with a spotless pool, loungers, chairs, tables, and a swing. It was quiet enough to recharge or have coffee or an aperitif at home. Beautiful. The property isn’t meticulously designed, but it has what you need: a fully equipped kitchen, fridge, freezer (not guaranteed), a large shower, bright windows, air conditioning, and even a fan. There’s also an outdoor sink for washing off beach sand and a barbecue. It was perfect for the two of us, with room for four, though they can provide two extra beds for the same price if you want to split the cost and save. The services were efficient. The pool technician stopped by every two or three days to check things and top up the water if needed. We were welcomed with a good explanation of the area and restaurant recommendations, and all the staff were kind, attentive, and helpful. I was disappointed I couldn’t extend our week by two days because it was already booked. I’d definitely stay again. A couple of small things could be better. When staff arrive to do a service, they should stop behind the gate and ask before coming in. During a rental, the apartment is private to the person who paid for it, and privacy matters on a holiday for two. Also, the bed is very hard because of the slats under the mattress. For the next purchase, I’d suggest a latex mattress to cushion them.
