We had such a wonderful stay, and leaving was hard. Giulia and Giovanni were incredibly kind. Breakfast came with fresh homemade cake, fruit, and more, which is hard not to love. The restored building and rooms are full of style and good taste. We borrowed two bikes and rode to Lake Garda and Valeggio sul Mincio, stopping for a magnificent lunch at Al Re del Tortellino Il Ristorantino. We also cycled into the city, an easy 15-20 minutes away. Being close to the city without staying in its middle was part of the appeal for us. The small gestures, warm smiles, and care that go into everything make this a special place. We’d love to return and try the evening menu, which sounded amazing.

The rooms are really comfortable, each with its own design in a bohemian chic style. The couple running the place are so friendly and helpful, and made every part of our stay a pleasure. We loved the genuine feel and the clear ambition to create a relaxing, beautiful experience. Breakfast was great too, with different dishes each morning. We’ll definitely be back! 🫶🫶🫶

Giulia and Giuseppe were such kind hosts, with a lovely way of bringing local tradition together with elegance. We used Corte Mantovana as a relaxing base for Lake Garda, and its central position in the Val Padana also makes it handy for trips to many northern Italian cities, including Verona, Venice, Ravenna, Ferrara, and Bologna. Mantova is well worth a visit too. The quality for the price was excellent. Our family had a gorgeous apartment in this newly restored 16th-century estate, decorated with care down to every detail. We were very lucky to find it. The candlelit dinners in the courtyard arcade were delicious, with high-quality regional cooking and carefully chosen flavors.
