The owners were very kind and helpful, and cleaning was top notch. The room was quiet, with no outside noise coming through. It's an ideal location for a beach trip, with a good restaurant practically on the beach and a children's playground in front of the house. Perfect, I'd say. I absolutely recommend it.

Rossano and Anna are wonderful people. We stayed with our daughter and Stella, our dog, over the June 2nd long weekend. If you like simplicity and authenticity, and want the sea almost right in your room, this is the place for you. Excellent value. I highly recommend it and will definitely return. We found this hotel online while looking for a lovely summer holiday in Italy as foreigners, and were lucky to find it. It's right on the beach, with sea views from the window. The rooms are very clean thanks to Anna's diligence, and although they're not large, they have everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hostess made us feel welcome and was attentive and friendly. San Elpideo is just right for a carefree holiday. We hope to come back next year. Thank you, Larisa and Irina.

The best thing is being near the sea. The rooms have minimal furnishings, which makes them spacious and functional, but I wouldn't choose them for a long stay. The sink leaks, and there's no fan, which would help in the heat. The windows face a playground and the street, so they're kept closed for resting. It's an old building where people live their everyday lives, working and getting up early, which understandably means garage doors and other noises. That clashes with being on vacation and wanting quiet. None of this was mentioned in the Booking.com description or on the property's website. Breakfast is at the bar with a voucher, and covers coffee and a croissant or cappuccino and a croissant. I had to pay the difference for a double coffee. I'd call this more of a guesthouse than a B&B.
