Il Melo Residence

We arrived by bicycle and were quickly welcomed into the gated parking area, then shown to our apartment. It was a nice space, with a great patio where we could safely leave our bicycles overnight. The hostess was very friendly and gave us good advice for our trip around the island. I'd recommend staying the night if you're touring the island.

Laura, the owner and host, was the best part of it. She's incredibly kind and willing to help, and every recommendation or suggestion she gave me was spot on. The place is at the edge of town, but town isn't very big, so you're only a stone's throw from the center. The rooms are cozy and super clean, with traditional, authentic breakfast. There's a charging station for people who drive electric cars, like me. My room was spotless, with no dust anywhere, and the mattress felt just right, balanced between soft and firm. Honestly, it was beyond my expectations. My favorite destination in Porto Torres ❤️

We only had one night here in the off-season, and I wish we'd stayed longer. The apartment was spotless, nicely furnished, and had everything set up well. Laura was so helpful when we arrived on our touring tandem. Since she guides bike tours, she suggested a great route around the island, which was perfect because we hadn't planned one. With the weather so good, we set off riding the next day. The gated residence has a big parking area, and we felt sure our bike was safe there. Thanks again, Laura!

Sara at reception was warm and welcoming, and our apartment was very clean. I also liked the cute, inviting layout of the grounds, and the terrace was useful and pleasant. The house itself feels dated, though, and that takes away from its charm and atmosphere.
