Casa Delser makes a lovely base for exploring the area. Portogruaro is only about 10 minutes away, and Venice can be reached in under an hour by train or by car and ferry across the lagoon. Nearby are the beaches and attractions of Lignano, Bibione, and Caorle, plus Vallevecchia Park and the long, free Brussa beach. There are plenty of other places to visit too, including Concordia, Aquileia, Trieste, Udine, Treviso, Padua, and Verona, as well as the Collio and Prosecco wine areas, which are easy to reach from the nearby motorway. Back at the manor house, there's a large park, a garden, and an organic vegetable garden at the heart of the farm. The peaceful countryside setting feels charming and relaxing, and seems especially suited to couples or young families looking for a comfortable, welcoming place to stay.

The one drawback was the insects, so bring a good repellent. Otherwise, the spacious Rose&Levander apartment was wonderful. The old house has a magical feel, and its original furniture and floors don't creak. The renovation and furnishings are modern and tasteful, with a modern kitchen and new windows fitted with insect screens.

The property looks very nice, though I haven't stayed there. I sent two availability requests through the website form, I think more than two months ago, and never heard back. Such a shame.

The house sits in a big park, and the apartments feel lovingly furnished, with carefully restored furniture.

Quiet, spacious, and set by a garden, this is a very nice place with a classic Italian feel. It's pet-friendly, and the people there are always helpful.
