Having free parking right by the hotel mattered a lot to us, and it was available. Our room was quiet and cozy, with a street view, and the spacious, bright bathroom looked out over the canal and gardens. We stayed one night while traveling in Italy, and it was very, very good value.

The owners were lovely and spoke a little English. Our room was simple and very clean, and there was a cafe and restaurant nearby. A beautiful place to stay in Portograuro.

We stayed three nights as a family, and the woman looking after us was kind and helpful. Breakfast was a highlight, with good coffee, sweet dishes, excellent Macedonia and homemade cake. La Dogana is a stylish B&B furnished in classic Italian style, with a large LCD, Wi-Fi and bathroom equipment, and it has hotel standards. It's a shame the restaurant isn't open, but it's a perfect place to stay if you're in the area.

The food was very good, so it's worth trying if you have time for a long meal. Service, though, was slow and poor. We waited a long time to order, and I had to get up several times to pour the wine we'd opened ourselves. Then it took ages to get the bill because the woman in the room was chatting with other customers while we just wanted to go home. They should pay more attention to their customers.

The owner was very friendly. The room was in good condition and really clean, and coffee and a light breakfast were provided in the room. Awesome.
