We can't judge the quality of the campsite itself, but the reception service felt completely unprofessional. We chose it because of its rating, and that turned out to be a mistake. We arrived at 10 pm on July 3, 2018, and didn't want to search for a campsite in the dark. We only wanted to sleep in the car park and find a pitch in daylight the next morning. Reception wouldn't let us stay overnight in their parking area and sent us to the port. The one star is for finding the famous La Giara restaurant, where happy customers were enjoying happy hour. We joined them and had a first-class midnight meal, starting with pizza and finishing with seafood. I warmly recommend it! We also give a star because we left and found the amazing Scarabeo camp (Punta Braccetto).

The sandy beach was nice, and the pool was great, though its opening hours were limited and the disco music was noisy. The atmosphere was relaxed, people were very friendly, and the tent pitches were small. Toilets were basic but clean. There's a nice bar, and off-season prices are great, so it's good value for money.

We had a fantastic time at Camping Residence Capo Passero. The whole place felt comfortable and family friendly, with Mrs. Luisa and her daughter taking great care of things and always being attentive and available. The sea was so clear and transparent you could drink it, and the pool was beautiful, spotless, and well maintained, with disco music during opening hours adding a fun atmosphere for campers. There was plenty to do on site. The fully equipped gym was great for staying active, and the cafeteria and pizzeria served excellent food, with outdoor dining and takeout available. The bar had fresh pastries and delicious desserts, and the handy, well organized mini market covered everyday needs. Camper service was available around the clock, the entire area had video surveillance, and the hot showers were free. The bathrooms were always spotless. Compliments to all the staff for their courtesy and professionalism. We'll definitely be back!
