There are plenty of stairs to reach this gorgeous BnB, but someone helped us with our luggage, so it wasn't a problem. I loved the room decor and the incredible view. A super cute cat even came to visit us on the balcony. We had an amazing stay.

The breakfast was the best I had during my time in Europe, and I’d suggest staying more than two nights. This B&B sits high in the mountains, almost off the cliff, which is what gives it such amazing views. You look out over the ocean, mountains, and beautiful Positano from the privacy of your own backyard. The room has a standard kitchen for simple cooking and a jacuzzi bathtub. The backyard is spacious enough to spend an entire afternoon reading, dining, or sunbathing. Getting into town means driving or catching the bus, which comes every hour at quarter to. There are 196 stairs to climb with heavy luggage, though they offered to help us with our bags when we arrived. The view makes it worth it.

Bacio del Sole B&B is remote enough to be peaceful and quiet, but getting into Positano is easy enough. The room was the biggest of our trip, and its terrace looked out over the mountains, Positano, and the ocean. Watching the sunset from there was breathtaking. The breakfast was among the best we had in Italy, with cheese, fresh baked goods, meats, granola, almonds, yogurt, juices, and acii berries. There were also tiny families of friendly kittens roaming the grounds. They keep to themselves and hide above the pizza oven during the day. Getting there can be confusing. The Sita bus from the Positano bus station drops you at the base of Via Nocelle, but there are no signs showing where to catch the next bus. We checked Google for walking directions, which called it a 24-minute walk. It doesn't account for the mountain: walking up the 1,700 steps to Nocelle took 2.5 hours or more, and hikers coming down looked at us with astonishment and pity as we carried our luggage up 400+ meters. That's entirely Google's fault, not BaciodelSole. If you get off at the bottom of the stairs, walk west for about 15 minutes toward the area near Torre Sponda Apartments Positano. The bus to Nocelle stops just before the road splits in two, on the sea side. It's a small orange bus marked Nocelle. If the sign says anything else, it's the wrong bus. You can pay on board, and the fare is 1.70 per person.

Angela was a great host and helped with everything we needed. The place was quiet, the bed really comfortable, and you can sit outside looking over the harbour. I'd give it a 10 + and would come back in a heartbeat.
