The balcony looks out over an amazing view from up on Montepertuso, and Melania made us feel very welcome. She helped carry our bags upstairs and find a parking place, and the welcome basket was such a nice surprise. There are about 200 steps from the main road to the house. We got used to them, and they weren’t as difficult as they first seemed. The roads are very narrow, so be prepared. The local bus to Positano is useful, though it only comes about once an hour.

The villa was clean, well equipped, and had a lovely yard. Melania and Alex were fantastic hosts, with great recommendations, reservations made for us, and all sorts of transfers arranged. I’d highly recommend staying here in Positano.

The terrace is beautiful, and the kitchen and bathrooms are lovely, with proper showers. The place is clean, spacious, and practical. Those 210 steps take some getting used to, but they’re worth it.
