Casa Fortunata

The views are beautiful, and the walk into town is lovely. The steps are definitely tricky, though we found they helped work off all the food! We stayed three nights this September and felt very safe. Luigi (the father) was lovely and gave us helpful suggestions for places to eat. The place was very clean and cute, and I'd highly recommend it.

Getting to the apartment means climbing several flights of stairs up the cliff, so travel light and skip the huge suitcases. Once there, the apartment is clean, fresh and tidy, with a simple, minimal setup and basics like a microwave, boiler and fridge. We visited in the last week of July for two nights. It's about 15 minutes from the town centre and 25 minutes from Positano Spiaggia. The balcony has partial views of the sea and cliffs, room to dry laundry, and two sun beds. Nights were comfortable with strong air conditioning, though you could try sleeping without it since evenings get cooler, around 25 degrees Celsius, and windier. Breakfast was simple but enough for both of us: bread, cornetto, yogurt, spreads, milk and cereal.

We only had one night here and wished we'd stayed longer. The whole apartment was ours, with a huge terrace overlooking the sea, and the owner was so nice. There's a kitchen with breakfast ingredients too. No parking, so you'll need to leave the car somewhere on the road, and be ready for lots of stairs. Still, it's worth the climb, and the walk to Positano center is nice, about 10-15 minutes. I really recommend it.

The apartment felt set up for living in, with everything we needed in a 1+1 layout and no one disturbing us. The view was fantastic, and the main attractions are 15-20 minutes away.
