Palazzo Venart

Ending our honeymoon at Palazzo Venart was wonderful, and our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Everyone greeted us with genuine warmth and care, and Silvia made the short stay seamless. She recommended places to eat, tours and sights, booked reservations, and even arranged a snack bag for our very early departure. The general manager also came to welcome us and somehow remembered the month we got married. That kind of personal attention made us feel like we were the only guests there. The hotel is stunning, with a mix of rich history and refined luxury. We could have spent ages wandering the floors and gardens. Even in winter it was breathtaking. Our room was exceptionally comfortable, with high-end touches like bath salts, a Dyson hairdryer and a towel warmer. Breakfast was incredible, from fresh juices, fruit, coffee and flaky pastries to anything else we could ask for. The attentive, detail-oriented service made a great start to each day. We’ve had all kinds of hotel breakfasts on our travels, and this was easily our favorite. Palazzo Venart was the perfect end to our honeymoon, and a memory we’ll keep forever.

The Grand Canal setting and the quiet entrance through a little alley made the hotel feel peaceful while still being right in the middle of things. It’s in Santa Croce, about a minute from the San Stae vaporetto stop (San Stae), and the palace itself has so much character, dating back to the 14th century. We loved our three nights here. Our room had an elegant, classic feel, a huge terrace, a beautiful marble bathroom, and a very comfortable bed after long days out in Venice. Dinner at Glam was creative and relaxed, and breakfast was just as impressive. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel welcome. They’re professional and attentive, but also warm and natural. The Managing Director really embodies that spirit, present and elegant without losing the warmth. The hotel has a real soul to it, intimate and inspiring, and the staff’s kindness made our stay unforgettable. We were already hoping to come back as we left.

The meal at GLAM was a highlight of our honeymoon. Every dish was delicate, beautiful, and delicious in a way we hadn’t tasted elsewhere. We had to leave dessert unfinished because of our train, but the restaurant staff still made the evening feel both exciting and relaxed. The wine pairing was great too. We were welcomed so warmly by the hotel team, and our room was lovely, spotless, and had a view we really enjoyed. We had such a happy, special honeymoon here, and would definitely stay again on a future trip to Venezia.

Breakfast was cooked to order, fresh, and prepared with real care, and we also loved having cocktails in the peaceful courtyard. The decor and food were great, and the staff made the stay feel special. Giacomo S even arranged a day trip to Murano and somehow got us a table at a restaurant that was already fully booked. Our room had such an old-world feel, like stepping back a few centuries. My wife and I would definitely come back to Venice.
