It’s more suited to families than to a romantic getaway. Inside the house was quite okay, but the buildings felt dated, and the place wasn’t as pretty as it looked on booking.com.

The restaurant felt very expensive, and the selection was limited. Dishes weren’t replenished often, and the ice cream was just the regular supermarket kind. At night, loud music went on until 00:00, so sleeping before midnight wasn’t possible.

The beach was calm and private, with no large hotels nearby, so it never felt crowded. Our room was small and cozy, and the air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was just okay, but the bar and streetfood stand are worth trying. We had a very pleasant stay, and Porto Recanati is worth visiting.

There are lots of playgrounds for kids, and the restaurant staff were really quick and friendly, always trying to help. The food was great, with plenty of different choices, and the restaurant itself had a nice variety. The whole place is lovely, the bungalows are decent and well laid out, and it seems especially good value if you’re travelling with kids. The place itself is amazing for a family holiday. The beach has nice sand, and the sea was okay, though not crystal clear. The pool was decent too, with a lifeguard and strict opening hours. The biggest frustration was the beach umbrella setup. In my opinion, the rented umbrellas cost too much, 15€ for the back two rows and 25€ for the front rows. They were all empty, since most people brought their own. But if you bring your own umbrella, you have to walk 200m to the left or right to set it up, because you can’t put it wherever you want. It seemed a bit silly. Maybe they could cost 5€ or 10€, or be free if you buy coffee or drinks, so more people could use them. The setup wasn’t managed very well :) Cleaning was also not great, since it happened only once per week. And most of the night shows, crew activities, games and kids’ entertainment were in Italian. For a holiday place with people from many countries, barely using any other language felt limited and unprofessional.
