Hotel Sas Morin

A wonderful stay in a comfortable, warm room. Breakfast had lots of variety and was very good. Transfers were available, though only during limited hours. The indoor sauna and Turkish bath were good too, and there’s an outdoor jacuzzi and Finnish sauna.

A peaceful, quiet spot in town made for a lovely week with my son. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the facilities were great, and breakfast was plentiful. Excellent all around. Thanks!

The location was good, and breakfast had plenty of options. We didn’t like the room, though. We booked the romantic room, but it was very small and poorly decorated. There were heart-shaped balloons and paper signs saying “Love you” that looked like they’d been made in PowerPoint, not the tasteful romantic decor I expected. There was dust on things, so I guess the room had been empty for a while. The layout was awkward too. The sink is in the entry corridor instead of a separate room, and the shower is beside it with no door. Showering made the whole room humid, so we had to open the balcony door. There’s no ventilation above the shower. The toilet paper holder also scrapes the paper against the wall as you turn it, which didn’t feel hygienic. The bed wasn’t comfortable for us, though I know that’s subjective, and after active hiking days we couldn’t get enough sleep. We chose to check out a night early. The price wasn’t refundable, but they still allowed a discount of about €40, which raised my rating from three stars to four. Otherwise, three stars would have been fair.

We booked at the last minute and I’m glad we did. The rooms are exceptional and the amenities are top tier. It’s also close to a walking and biking trail that I used many times. Big thanks to the front desk staff. It was off season, so I think they had fewer people working. She was handling everything and doing it well.
