B&B Alta Marea Casa Vacanze

The room was dirty, with dust all over the floor and mould, chipped paint, and rust in the bathroom. The shower door came off with just one touch. We had booked a triple room, but were given a single room meant for two, and the host tried to pass it off as the one we had booked. When we raised it, she admitted the room had been double booked, but wasn’t apologetic or helpful about finding us proper accommodation. She also wasn’t there when we arrived, so we had to call and wait 15 minutes for her to bring the keys. That was the only time we saw anyone at reception. The included “breakfast” was a café voucher for one croissant and one coffee each. This was an absolutely terrible experience, and I don’t think this place deserves its rating. Don’t stay here if you want a pleasant visit to Pozzallo.

After a late ferry from Malta, I stayed here for one night and everyone was so friendly and helpful. I urgently needed to do laundry, and they let me wash my things. They also lent me a phone adapter and let me use the internet while I made plans. Breakfast was free, with juice, fruit, pastries, and more. The rooms were extremely clean, and the beach is very close. Pozzallo isn’t especially lively, but locals walk along the beach path late into the night, and everyone I met was lovely. It’s a nice, quiet place to visit. Thanks!

Our ferry to Valletta didn’t leave until 9:30 pm, so the staff let us spend quite a while relaxing in the common area. They were accommodating, and the B&B was very nice and clean.

I stayed for two nights in early June 2018, after travelling around Europe for the previous two months. This was still the best place I’d stayed by a long way. The rooms were cool and comfortable, and breakfast was great.
