The price was fair and the view was nice, so it worked for a night. Still, the location felt odd, and both the rooms and the building are pretty dated. It’s a fairly ordinary hotel, and I’m not sure how it ended up with four stars.

I had a pleasant stay. The room was nice and the shower was really good. The hotel is in Naples’ volcanic area, so you can smell sulfur in the air. It’s about 20 minutes from the airport.

My mother and I were only there for 7-8 hours, and the hotel staff were friendly. The hot tub in our room didn’t work, though. The worst part was the hotel-arranged taxi to the airport at 3 a.m. Staff said we could share the fare with another passenger and that it would cost 70-80 euros. When we arrived, the driver demanded 70 euros from each of us, so 140 euros for a 20-minute ride. I checked Uber at the airport and saw rides for 19-24 euros. Atrocious.

The ocean views were stunning, and the sunset was gorgeous. The bar and dining area have a lovely atmosphere, with the sea view as their highlight. Most of the staff were kind and helpful. One person we asked to arrange a taxi seemed to call someone they knew instead of a legitimate taxi company. There was no meter, and we were charged 80 euros for a 15-minute trip. Very disappointing and unethical.

The staff were attentive and nice, and the restaurant service was excellent. We ate very well, and everything else about the stay was wonderful. Our room had a dreamlike sea view, and the hotel’s location was lovely. There’s parking and a restaurant on site. The only small issue was that they seemed to have forgotten to leave shower gel in the room. I’d happily recommend this beautiful hotel.
