Hotel Sibilla Residence

It's simple, but comfortable and has what you need. The only thing missing is an elevator, though that wasn't a problem for us. It's near the beaches, and breakfast is included at the convenient bar across the street. Everyone was friendly.

I've never stayed somewhere so filthy and unfit to live in. The photos call it "Vintage," but the dust on the red bedspread, black pouf, and shower stall edges was just dirt. I didn't use the shower because it was disgusting. It looked like nobody had cleaned since 1900. The building is completely abandoned and needs to be torn down and rebuilt. If I could, I wouldn't give it a single star.

The owners were friendly, and the building was fairly clean, but it feels dated inside and out and needs renovation. The street-facing rooms are barely big enough. A sea view room is a little quieter, but if you take a "lake view" room, really a view of a busy roundabout, you can hear all the street noise day and night. The rooms aren't soundproofed, so it's not a good choice for light sleepers.

The air was clean and lovely, and the children and I came home feeling refreshed. We found the sea-view room I wanted, close to the beach and the main conveniences, including a bar, tobacconist, and restaurant. I was especially looking for this because my son has severe asthma and my youngest daughter has catarrh. The owners, a couple, were welcoming, kind, and always available.
